There’s nothin’ holding Shawn Mendes back from professing his love for his girlfriend, Bruna Marquezine. The “Stitches” hitmaker went Instagram official with her in August 2026, by wishing Bruna a “Happy Birthday” in an Instagram carousel post.
“Feliz aniversário my baby,” Shawn captioned his post. “You are a light and a mãe in every room you walk into. Not to be tooooo sappy but you’ve truly changed my life and I am so so grateful for you. Eu te amo muito muito muitoo!!! We all do amor… & thank you @casaamarelaprovidencia for what you’re doing!”
Shawn’s post included videos of him and Bruna volunteering with kids at the community center Casa Amarela in Rio de Janeiro.

Bruna is no stranger to the spotlight. Although she’s not a popular musician like her boyfriend, she is a Brazilian actress, model and filmmaker.
She landed her breakout role in 2000 as one of the child interviewers for the program Gente Inocente. From then on, Bruna steadily landed roles in various telenovelas and other TV series, until, in 2023, she landed the role of Jenny Kord in the DCU film Blue Beetle.
