As per the latest reports, fans will have to wait for a few months for Kalki 2898 AD to release on OTT. The makers have sealed a deal with Amazon Prime Video for the OTT release of Kalki 2898 AD. The Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of the film will release on Prime Video, however, the Hindi version of Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer is going to release on Netflix. As per a report in Deccan Chronicle, Kalki 2898 AD will premiere on OTT only in the month of September. However, the makers haven’t confirmed anything as such. Neither the OTT release date of Kalki 2898 AD has been confirmed nor the release month. So it would be only 10 weeks after the release of the film that fans will get to see on OTT, if at all, the film gets its digital release in September. Kalki 2898 AD is a story that has its roots in Mahabharata. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ashwathama. Prabhas plays the role of bounty hunter Bhairava. Deepika Padukone plays the role of Sum 80. Kamal Haasan is the antagonist – Yaskin. The movie is set in 2898 AD when the Earth is suffering and is deprived of the basic essentials. Sum 80 is pregnant and is going to be the mother of Kalki – the 10th avatar of Vishnu. Bhairava is in charge to take Sum 80 to Supreme Yaskin so that he could get an entry into the might Complex where life is beautiful. The second instalment of Kalki 2898 AD is also on cards. But it is going to take a long time for the part 2 to release.
