Tina Knowles is coming to the defense of her daughter, Beyoncé, after some online trolls came for her following her Netflix Christmas Day halftime show performance.

She shared a screenshot of someone defending the Grammy-winning artist by noting how regardless of how talented someone is, there will always be people who have something negative to say.

Knowles echoed the sentiment, writing, “It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don’t think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later.”

She continued, “Obviously you are so obsessed with them , addicted to them , and secretly admire them , wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke !!”

The former manager pointed out that if someone didn’t want to see the performance, they could have watched something else while it was going on.

“PS I have learned so much from her warrior spirit, of when they go low I work harder ‘No weapon formed against me shall prosper’ one ,two , three waiting for the fake bots to come,” she concluded.

Beyoncé took the stage at the Texans versus Ravens Christmas Day game in her hometown of Houston. She performed alongside Post Malone, Shaboozey and her daughter, 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter.

The performance began with a pretaped moment, of the superstar wearing a white cowboy hat and singing Grammy-nominated hit “16 Carriages” while riding on a white horse. Then, she kicked off the official live show in a white leotard and matching chaps, performing “Ya Ya,” which was nominated for best Americana performance at the 2025 Grammys.

Blue Ivy joined Beyoncé for her hit, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which was nominated for song of the year and topped the country and pop charts. “I’m so honored to be in Texas right now,” the singer-songwriter said. “It’s only right we do ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ in Texas for the first time.”

Following the performance, some people took to social media to express their discontent with the halftime show. “Am I the only one who thinks Beyoncé is the most overrated music performer on Earth?” one user wrote.

“So they think she’s a country star because she puts on some boots and a cowboy hat and makes up some kind of line dance??” another one wrote. “That’s no country music either!”

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy also took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts, writing, “Beyoncé has been LOST since Destinys Child.”
