With the influx of streaming price increases, Sling TV continues to stand out as an affordable alternative thanks to its innovative approach to traditional live TV packages. While monthly plans have become the norm amongst competitors, Sling has broadened its offerings by implementing short-term Passes — 1 Day Passes, 3 Day Passes and 7 Day Passes — along with a 3 Month Prepay plan that cuts prices for customers who pay upfront.

Below, everything to know about Sling TV’s packages and how to save even more.

    Sling TV Packages Compared

Sling currently has six core plans: Orange, Blue, Orange & Blue (bundle), Essentials, Select and Essentials & Select (bundle).

For a big picture view, Orange targets sports and family programming, while Blue is largely comprised of news and entertainment channels. The Orange & Blue bundle, therefore, checks each of those boxes, combining the two individual plans’ offerings at a reduced rate. As for pricing, Orange is eligible for Sling’s short-term Passes, meaning prices start at $4.99 per day or $45.99 per month. Sling Blue starts at $45.99 per month, and Sling Orange & Blue starts at $60.99 per month.

At a slightly more granular level, Sling Orange offers 30-plus channels including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, TNT, Disney Channel and CNN. Sling Blue offers 40-plus channels including CNN, FOX News, NFL Network, Bravo and ID.

More recently, Sling introduced two “skinny” bundles: Essentials and Select, each offering 10-plus channels, with prices starting at just $19.99 per month. Once again, customers can bundle and save with the Essentials & Select plan starting at $34.99 per month. Sling Essentials includes ESPN, ESPN2 and Disney, while Sling Select includes FOX News, NFL Network, National Geographic and FS1, amongst others.

    Sling TV Add-Ons

Beyond Sling’s six base packages, the streamer allows subscribers to build out a personalized experience through a variety of add-ons and premium services. This includes themed channel packs starting at $6 per month, premium services (think HBO Max and Discovery+) starting at $5 per month, additional sports programming starting at $13.99 per month, plus individual channel add-ons starting at $3 per month.

The Best Sling TV Streaming Deals

New subscribers can take advantage of a variety of first-month savings on select add-ons: Paramount+ for $5 (reg. $10), AMC+ for $5 (reg. $10.99), STARZ for $5 (reg. $9.99) and Unlimited DVR free for the first month (reg. $5). After one month, customers will be charged at the regular rate, unless cancelled at any time. Even better, Sling’s Premium Pass deal offers customers who sign up for either Sling Orange or Blue free Paramount+, AMC+, Starz and MGM+ access for the first month, up to $35.98 in savings.

Sling also has a Student Deal, offering verified students $10 off for their first six months. As for Sling’s Prepay program, customers can cut costs when prepaying for three months of any of the service’s six base plans.
