Recently, famous actress Sonakshi Sinha visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi with her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal. The actress posted pictures of her visit on social media. A troll called her out for wearing shoes inside the mosque, and the actress did not hold back from giving a savage reply to the same on her social media. The troll commented on Sonakshi’s Instagram post, saying, “Jutton ke saat masjid mai jana bohot barra gunnah hai.” (Going to the mosque wearing shoes is a very big sin.) To that, Sonakshi gave a befitting reply, saying, “Isilye jooton ke saat andar nahi gaye. Dhyan se dekho, masjid ke bahar hi hai hum. Andar jaane se pehle unhone humein joote rakhne ki jagah dikhayi aur utaar diye. Itna toh humein bhi aata hai. Chaliye, ab aage badhiye.”

The pictures featured her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal, and her in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Sonakshi has faced a lot of criticism online for her interfaith marriage with the actor Zaheer Iqbal.
Sonakshi’s views on her interfaith marriage
As aforementioned, Sonakshi had faced a lot of criticism over her interfaith marriage. She has clarified that religion has never been an issue for either her or her husband. She clarified that she never faced any pressure from Zaheer’s family to convert to Islam.
While talking to Hautterfly, Sonakshi revealed that the couple appreciate each other’s culture and traditions. Zaheer participates in Diwali puja with her, while she joins him in their niyaaz.
She said, “I respect them and their culture, and they respect me and mine. That’s how it should be. Under the best circumstances, the best way to get married is a special marriage act where I, as a Hindu woman, do not need to change my religion, and he, as a Muslim man, can remain a Muslim man, and two people in love share a beautiful bond of marriage. So it was as simple as that. There was never a question asked like, Are you going to convert? We love each other; we are getting married.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23, 2024, after being together for seven years.
