    Arjun’s consolation towards Dhanashree

When Dhanashree Verma was a contestant on Rise and Fall, she often spoke about her divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. In one of the episodes, she broke down in tears while accusing Chahal of cheating. While many people felt that Dhanashree was using her divorce as a strategy on the show, Arjun was seen consoling her.

    Arjun makes interesting revelations

Now that Arjun Bijlani has been declared the winner of Rise and Fall, he has openly spoken about that incident. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Arjun Bijlani said, “She was crying and sharing a few things about her past life. I was just listening to her and calmly gave my opinion because it was a normal conversation.”

Even in competitive moments, we are humans

The actor further added, “I didn’t do it for the game. For me, it was a moment of empathy. She was speaking openly about her personal life, something I would never do.” Arjun continued, “Sometimes people forget that even in a competitive environment, we are still human beings. Showing care should not be seen as a weakness.”

Arjun was just trying to be respectful

He added, “She said a lot of things about parties and more. I just wanted to understand, why is it such a taboo for guys to hang out and party? Even if she was lying or doing it for the game, how would I know? I was simply being respectful.”

    Dhanashree on her ex-husband

Throughout Rise and Fall, Dhanashree often spoke about her ex-husband, Chahal. In one episode, she opened up about their relationship, sharing details about their engagement, marriage, and eventual separation. While talking to actor Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree said, “It was both a love and arranged marriage. It began as an arranged match. In fact, he wanted to get married without dating, and I hadn’t even imagined such a thing.”

    Dhanashree started noticing changes

She added that Chahal was confident about her from the start, while she needed some convincing. “Because of the love I received during the process, I became sure. Our roka (engagement) happened in August, and we got married in December. During that time, I traveled with him, and we lived together. I began to notice slight changes in his behavior. When people want something and finally get it, their behavior tends to change a lot.”

She wanted to make things work

Despite noticing these changes, Dhanashree said she tried to make things work. “Even though I saw him changing, I still trusted him and the relationship. My problem is that I tend to give too many chances to the people around me. But eventually, I moved on. I gave it my all, my hundred percent. I’ll always be concerned for him; that much I can guarantee.”

    What was the controversy about?

Dhanashree Verma, who is the ex-wife of the cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, has opened up about her failed relationship a lot on the TV show Rise and Fall. She accused Chahal of cheating, which made people think that she was using her personal issues for attention. Winner of the show Arjun Bijlani later clarified that he used to comfort her out of empathy, not for attention.
