    Jungkook is showing once again why he is the perfect best friend. The BTS maknae, who has been keeping a bit of a low profile ever since his discharge from the military in June this year, made a rare public appearance at an event on Monday, October 27. He was attending the VIP premiere of the upcoming film The First Ride in Seoul to cheer on his best friend, ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun Woo, who could not attend the event due to his ongoing military service.

    Jungkook’s arrival at the event instantly captured everyone’s attention, and fans of both celebrities were delighted by his fun gesture. The spotlight, however, was not only on Jungkook, but also on the life-size doll of Cha Eun Woo that the BTS member was carrying. In the pictures from the event, the musician was seen patting the doll, making it bow and wave, and even saluting with him. A moment that sparked a wave of laughter among the attendees was when Jungkook lifted Cha Eun Woo’s doll in bridal style on the stage. This moment captured a lot of people’s hearts as it showed off Jungkook’s fun and sweet personality.

    Following the photo session, Jungkook spoke to the host of the event and shared the reason why he came to the premiere. He said, “Firstly, I came because I was really curious about the film. Plus, he’s my friend Dongmin (Cha Eun Woo is part of the project), and I wanted to check out his acting,” he said. Jungkook continued, “He told me that while filming the movie, he thought a lot about the times when we were younger, when we were in our early twenties, we often hung out and played together. He tried to bring that vibe into the portrayal. I’ll enjoy the movie with that feeling in my mind.”

    Jungkook wished well to his friend, who is currently in the military, saying, “I wish you always take care of your health. I hope you can serve well and be discharged safely after your military service. Fighting!”

SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, who is part of the friend group that includes Jungkook and Cha Eunwoo, also attended the premiere of The First Ride, directed by Nam Dae Joong. The movie, releasing in theatres on October 29, tells the story of a group of friends whose dream trip quickly turns into a series of funny, chaotic, and action-packed moments.
