Actress Garvita Sadhwani who played the role of Ruhi in Samridhii Shukla and Rohit Purohit starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai spoke about her exit. She said that she has not left the show.
Popular television actress Garvita Sadhwani, who was seen playing the role of Ruhi in the iconic show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has bid adieu to the show after her character was shown going to Japan. The actress is known for her charming screen presence and has a huge fan following on social media. She has managed to win hearts with her spectacular performances in various shows. She was seen in Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si and Main Hoon Aparajita.
Garvita became a household name with her role as Ruhi in the show and earned immense affection from fans. She has managed to raise eyebrows as her character Ruhi has been temporarily shown out. This has surely caused speculation among fans regarding her exit from the show. Now, the diva has addressed the rumours in a candid interview with a media portal and said that she has neither quit the show nor has she been removed.
“I haven’t left the show, and I haven’t been thrown out,” Garvita said, She even added saying, “It’s simply that the current track doesn’t require Ruhi’s character. So, for the time being, she’s on a break. I don’t know exactly when she’ll return — that depends entirely on how the story unfolds. I believe in destiny, and when it’s meant to happen, I’ll talk about it then.”
She even revealed how she learned about the change in her storyline. Garvita further said, “Even before the production team told me, I had a feeling Ruhi’s journey was nearing its pause. When Vivek sir broke the news, he said, ‘I have some bad news,’ and I instantly guessed, ‘Ruhi’s track is ending,’ to which he said yes. Honestly, I thought they might kill the character off, but thankfully, that wasn’t the case.”
Garvita said that she is emotionally connected to Ruhi and that three or four weeks before it was officially confirmed, she had sensed the same. She even told Romit aka Rohit, her mother and her sister and they were surprised since nothing on-screen suggested it. Garvita said that she knew that her character had come to an end. Fans are missing Garvita’s character in the show post-leap and want her to return.
In the current episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan is shocked to see Abhira with Anshuman and thinks that she has moved on in her life. When Abhira gets to know that Mahira is Armaan’s daughter, he lies to her telling her that she is Geetanjali’s daughter.
