YouTubers the Stokes Twins Sign Netflix Deal

YouTube creators Alan and Alex Stokes, aka the Stokes Twins, are bringing their sensibilities — and a lot of their videos — to Netflix.

The brothers have signed a deal with the streamer that will bring an archive of their YouTube content to Netflix starting July 18. The Stokes are also developing a long-form show for Netflix, slated to premiere in 2027; details on that project are being kept under wraps for now.

The content deal with Netflix is non-exclusive; the Stokes Twins have more than 140 million subscribers on YouTube, and their videos will remain there. (The brothers also have millions of followers on TikTok, Instagram and other social platforms.)

“When we were kids, we didn’t always know how to fit in,” the brothers said in a statement. “There were moments where we didn’t have a home, and when we first came to America, we didn’t even know how to speak the language. A camera became the way we connected with people before we fully had the words. We made videos to make other kids laugh, and somehow that turned into a community of hundreds of millions of people around the world. To now bring that journey to Netflix is bigger than a show for us. It feels like a full-circle moment.”

The deal with the Stokes Twins is Netflix’s latest foray into the creator economy. The streamer has signed deals with Ms. Rachel, science YouTuber Mark Rober and The Sidemen, among others, and has brought a number of video podcasts to the platform. Earlier this week, Netflix announced a deal with several publishers, including The Hollywood Reporter’s parent company Penske Media, for short-form video content.

The twins announced their Netflix partnership with, naturally, a YouTube video. Watch it below.
