Popular Bhojpuri singer and actor Ritesh Ranjan Pandey has been nominated by the Jan Suraj Party for the Kargahar Assembly seat in Rohtas district. Interestingly, there were earlier speculations that Prashant Kishore himself might contest from this seat.

Ritesh Ranjan Pandey is a well-known singer and actor in the Bhojpuri film industry. He began his career with a Bhojpuri music album in 2010. He gained recognition with the 2016 film Balma Bihar Wala 2, which made him a well-known face in Bhojpuri cinema.
