Parveen Shahani is Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi’s wife. The couple was in longtime relationship before they got hitched in 2006. They welcomed their baby boy, Ayaan Hashmi, in 2010. Parveen has been Emraan’s pillar of strength for a very long time.

The Bollywood actor met Parveen when they were in Class 9. They were very good friends of each other. Despite immense fame, Emraan never left Parveen’s side. She was always confident of her man’s side.
How does Parveen react to Emraan’s intimate scenes?
In an earlier interaction on Koffee With Karan, Emraan revealed that while watching Murder, Parveen dug her nails into his skins. By the film ended, he had several nail marks. He also revealed how he compensated for the intimate scenes. Emraan said, “She hasn’t accepted it (this side of his job). We have hit a common ground. Right now there is a deal that we have… The deal is I take her shopping and she probably swipes the card close to seven-digit numbers.”
Parveen’s parents were against their intercast marriage
Parveen is Hindu by birth and Emraan is a muslim. After dating for nearly three years, Emraan asked Parveen’s parents for her hand in marriage. They were initially sceptical about their different faiths. As Parveen and her family were not from showbiz, her parents were not initially happy about Emraan’s serial kisser tag. However, Emraan managed to convince them the difference in onscreen and offscreen image.
Emraan and Parveen’s son’s cancer diagnosis
Their life were going great as they tied knot in 2006 and welcomed their son in 2010. But things took a drastic turn after their four-year-old son was diagnosed with first stage cancer. While sharing about the journey in a book, the actor said, “There was no warning sign, there was no accompanying fever, there was no physical discomfort. There was only one thing that we missed as parents and that was the tumor that had grown on the left side was, there was a bump here and went unnoticed. We thought it (the tumor) was putting on weight and I think the first thing we felt was a feeling of guilt.”
How Parveen stood as a pillar for Emraan Hashmi
As quoted by Bollywoodshaadis, Parveen added, “My wife was a huge support system, even while she was dealing with a lot of her own stuff. I had to come back for films, and my wife was there with him alone. The way she handled it – she is very strong – and due credit to her. Our relationship and bond got stronger.”
