Anupamaa is one of the most popular shows on the television screens that has managed to keep audiences glued with its unique storyline and plot. Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa has witnessed a major leap of 15 years and fans are quite excited about the same. According to Times Now, Smriti Irani is set to join the cast in the post-generation storyline. Yes, you read that right! Smriti will make her comeback to television after a 15-year hiatus and fans are excited for her entry in the show. In Anupamaa, Smriti will reportedly appear alongside Rupali Ganguly and her entry will bring more twists and turns in the storyline. Smriti was last seen in Maniben.com in 2009 which was a comedy series. Her performance has time and again amazed fans.
She even briefly ventured into films with the Bengali movie, Amrita and was later seen joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2003. We must say, that Smriti’s journey from TV to politics is quite remarkable. She impressed all with her role as Tulsi Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Later, she took a long break from TV and her fans were waiting for her to return on screen.

The current storyline of Anupamaa is focused on Anu taking care of Shahs. Mahi, Ansh and others have grown up and Kinjal goes against Anupamaa. Anu makes a cake but mistakenly writes Choti on it. Aadhya is in Dwarka and longs for Anupamaa. Prem asks Anupamaa to travel to Dwarka and she agrees. Will Anupamaa be able to meet her daughter?
