Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana is in the news. The movie has been the most talked about one right now. Everyone has been eagerly waiting for the epic drama to unfold on the big screens. The film will star Sai Pallavi as Sita and KGF star Yash will also be a part of the movie. We have seen Prabhas, Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush which got all the negative reviews. Recently, Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus Studios officially announced Ramayana that will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari and will be in two parts. He revealed that the first one will release during Diwali 2026 and the second one in 2027. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and KGF star Yash, we will see a popular TV actor and producer in the role of Ramayana.
Ravi Dubey to play Lakshman in Ramayana
Earlier, it was revealed that a TV star will be Lakshman in the movie and now it is finally revealed that Ravi Dubey is the one who will play Lakshman. Talking to Connect Cine, Ravi confirmed that he will be playing the role in Ramayana. He shared that playing Lakshman is an honor and a responsibility and he deeply admires his devotion to his brother Ram and his values.
He also shared that he holds this role close to his heart. He added that he is playing Lakshman in the film and he finally has the permission to reveal this news. He shared that he didn’t talk about it all this while because he didn’t want to give irresponsible statements and spoil Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari’s plans to reveal the cast.
There have been reports that Lara Dutta has been roped in to play the role of Kaikayi and Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman.
