She was paired alongside Govinda in Shola Aur Shabnam and the film became a huge hit at the box office. In her 2 years of career, she did 21 films, out of which 13 films were superhits and 8 were hits. Divya had signed many films, before she died at the age of 19. She worked in films like Deewana, Dil Ka Kya Kasoor, Dil Aashna, Shatranj and more.
Divya passed away and died in 1993. According to many media reports, Divya was sitting on her window in an inebriated state and there was no grill. She was trying to get up and her foot slipped. Divya fell down from the fifth floor and was immediately rushed to the hospital, but the doctors could not save her.
