Leslye Headland, the creator of Star Wars: The Acolyte, will make her Broadway debut this fall.

Her play, Cult of Love, follows four adult children returning to their childhood home with their partners for the holidays. The harmony is interrupted as old and new conflicts arise.

The play, produced by Second Stage Theater, will run at the Hayes Theater starting Nov. 20 and opening Dec. 12. Trip Cullman, who directed Choir Boy, Lobby Hero and more on Broadway, will direct the production. Casting has not yet been announced.

In addition to serving as writer, director, EP and showrunner on Disney+’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, Headland was also the writer, producing director and showrunner for the Netflix series Russian Doll, starring Natasha Lyonne. Second Stage previously produced her play Bachelorette and her play The Layover Off-Broadway at the Kiser Theater. She made her film directorial debut with an adaptation of Bachelorette, starring Kirsten Dunst, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012.

Second Stage will also produce the New York premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies’ play, Lunar Eclipse, Off-Broadway at the Kiser Theater. The production will star Reed Birney  (Mass, The Humans) and Lisa Emery (Ozark, A Kind of Alaska), who will play a long-married couple watching a lunar eclipse and reflecting on their lives.

Directed by Kate Whoriskey, the production begins performances Oct. 9, with an opening night on Oct. 30.
