Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been ruling the Hindi film industry for over three decades now. The actor has worked with several Bollywood actresses including Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta and many more. The actress is currently promoting her upcoming Netflix thriller, Do Pati with co-stars Shaheer Shaikh, Kriti Sanon and others. In an interview, the actress shared how Shah Rukh Khan told her to learn how to act and this one advice changed her narrative towards work. Kajol discussed how at 18 she used to face burnout as she was working continuously. She also recalled the time when she desired to quit the film industry but it was Shah Rukh Khan who told her to enjoy the craft rather than just doing it for the sake of it. She told the media portal, ‘I remember I finished the film and before that, Shah Rukh was like, ‘You know you just have to learn how to act.’ I was like, ‘What is this? The actress even told her mother Tanuja that she could not act anymore and later after doing few films she understood the technique of acting due to Shah Rukh Khan. Kajol said, ‘I did this film called Udhaar Ki Zindagi. While I was finishing the film, I remember turning around and telling my mother, ‘You know, mom, I’m done. Wow. I’m burnt out. At the tender age of 18-and-a-half, I am done. I cannot move anymore. I cannot cry anymore. I cannot put glycerin anymore. I can’t. I don’t want to do these films anymore. I want to do, you know, four scenes, ten songs.’ I wanted to do such films. And I signed four films like that. So that’s where Gunda Raj, Hulchul, all these films came out from. I learnt the technique of acting after that.’
