Frances Neagley is not the imposing physical presence that Jack Reacher is. But she’s more than willing to take on a fight.
The action scenes are plentiful in the trailer for Neagley, a spinoff of Reacher that’s set to premiere Sept. 16 as a binge release. Maria Sten, a regular in seasons two and three of Reacher, plays the title character, a private investigator in Chicago and Jack Reacher’s former colleague in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. (Reacher star Alan Ritchson guest stars in Neagley and appears in the trailer.)
The first season follows Neagley as she investigates the death of a friend from her past in what looks like an accident. Of course, there’s a lot more to it. Watch the trailer below.
The trailer for Neagley drops on the same day as Reacher opens its fourth season, and the show’s Sept. 16 premiere date is the same as that of Reacher’s season finale.
Along with Sten, Neagley stars Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman.
Paramount Television Studios and Amazon MGM Studios are producing Neagley. Reacher’s Nick Santora is co-showrunner with Nicholas Wootton (Scorpion, The Endgame). They executive produce with Lee Child (author of the Jack Reacher novels), Don Granger, Sam Hill (who directed the first two episodes), Adam Higgs and Lisa Kussner. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid and Niko Fernandez oversee the project for Paramount Television Studios.
