As the top-secret expedition turns risky, they make a shocking discovery which isn’t revealed for decades. Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali essay the role of extraction experts who are given the task of capturing the creatures.

Going by early reviews, critics are hyping the film big time. Critics have lauded the makers for the ease with which they offer a blend of practical effects and CGI. The Hollywood Reporter referred to the visual effects as “first-rate,” particularly during the climactic scenes which involved a scary new predator, the D. Rex. “Gareth Edwards is clearly a Spielberg fan, with open water scenes reminiscent of Jaws and subtle nods throughout,” The Hollywood Reporter said in its review.
