Salman Khan, everyone’s favourite host of Bigg Boss 19, finally addressed the recent backlash over alleged favouritism toward Amaal Mallik during the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes. Last week, a couple of viewers criticised Salman for not confronting Amaal strongly enough over his behaviour in the house. Many felt he was being too lenient with the singer compared to other contestants. During the latest episode, Salman asked the housemates a simple question: “Who have I been the most critical of so far?” Unanimously, everyone in the house replied – Amaal Mallik. To which Salman responded, “Yes, I’ve bashed Amaal the most, but not everything makes it to air. Some things I say to him are personal, and I wouldn’t say them publicly. That doesn’t mean I’m being partial to him.”
He clarified that he intends to guide and correct all contestants, not favour any of them, including Kunickaa Sadanand, another housemate some viewers felt he was supporting. Salman also pointed out that Abhishek Bajaj has received the most appreciation for his behaviour and game in the house. He made it clear that his feedback is purely based on actions, attitude, and behaviour, not personal bias.

The episode also covered the ongoing kitchen duty issue involving wildcard contestant Malti Chahar. Salman asked current captain Nehal Chudasama why Malti’s refusal to cook lunch after a task had become such a big issue. He then reminded Nehal that she had once delayed her own lunch duty after requesting to finish her gym session first. He was subtly pointing out the double standards of the situation?

Salman didn’t stop there. He also then questioned Tanya Mittal’s emotional reaction after receiving feedback from Malti. He also questioned Tanya’s extreme reaction after being pushed into the pool during the nomination task, calling her inconsistent and asking her to be stronger in the game. With all eyes on Khan, He made it clear that he’s here to guide the contestants, not play favourites.
