The makers of the film warn that imitations like these have the potential of hurting religious sentiments, especially of the Tulu community. Dhaivaradhane is a very profound symbol of faith and not just a performance to be imitated normally. They emphasized that cinematic portrayals of Dhaivaradhane do not give people the permission to enact it.
