    Ranbir Kapoor confirms shooting of part 1 of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is complete, ‘I am humbled…’

    After Animal, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to star in Nitesh Tiwari’s mythological film Ramayana. For a long time, the team didn’t officially speak about the movie. Even RK avoided answering questions related to the movie directly. A few weeks ago, the producers revealed the movie’s release date. Now, RK himself has opened up about his next big project and shared his excitement about portraying Lord Rama on the big screen.     Ranbir Kapoor confirms Ramayana Part 1 and 2

    At the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed that he is currently working on Ramayana and it’s the greatest story around. The Tamasha actor said that his childhood friend Namit Malhotra is passionate about making this book into a movie and has a fantastic team of artists and creative people.     Further in this entertainment news, Ranbir also confirmed that Ramayana is divided into two parts and the shooting for the first part is completed. The team will start working on Part 2 soon. “Just to be a part of that story, I am so humbled to essay Ram’s role. It’s a dream for me. It’s a film that has everything. It teaches what Indian culture is about—family dynamics and husband-wife dynamics,” said the Barfi actor.     Ramayana is expected to hit theatres in Diwali 2026 and the second part will release in Diwali 2027. Earlier, Namit Malhotra confirmed the same and wrote, “I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture—our “RAMAYANA”—for”people across the world.”

    Along with Ranbir, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana also stars Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita and Yash as Ravana. Ravi Dubey will play the role of Lakshman in the mythological saga.
