“Now you can blush,” Belmont Cameli’s Garrett Graham cheekily tells Ella Bright’s Hannah Wells in the first trailer for Prime Video’s Off Campus adaptation.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s hit hockey romance series of the same name, the trailer for the highly anticipated first season dropped Thursday, giving fans of the book series the most substantial look at the Briar University college students yet.
“Off Campus follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery — forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood,” the show’s synopsis reads. The first season is set to follow the characters from Kennedy’s first book in the series, The Deal — all-star college hockey player Garrett Graham and fellow student and singer Hannah Wells.
The swoon-worthy trailer shows Garrett and Hannah forming the titular deal, a fake dating pact to help the hockey player’s grades and the singer’s chances at getting her crush. Throughout the two minutes, the pair show off some real chemistry.
Other series regulars include Mika Abdalla (Snack Shack), Antonio Cipriano (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy) and Stephen Kalyn (Gen V). Fans of the book series, will be excited to see the whole Briar U gang in the trailer. Among some of these series regulars are lead characters from other novels in Kennedy’s Off Campus series, which is presumably taking on a Bridgerton-like structure in terms of season-by-season leads. The series scored an early season two pickup in February.
Louisa Levy serves as the co-showrunner and executive produces alongside Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman executive produce for Temple Hill. Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty also serve as executive producers on the series.
Prime Video will drop all episodes of the first season of Off Campus on May 13. Watch the trailer below.
