Dude, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, is all set to release on the big screens on October 17. With Love Insurance Kompany’s release date being postponed, Dude is Pradeep Ranganathan’s only film to be released on Diwali.
Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju starrer Dude is all set to release in theaters on October 17. The film’s release date coincides with Diwali. Before its release, the makers of the film have finally put out the trailer. The trailer is filled with funny and hilarious moments, set behind the premise of a romantic love story. Mythri Movie Makers, the official production banner that produced the film, took to Instagram to share the trailer of the film. They said, “”Entertainment goes into overdrive mode with the DUDE’S TOP GEAR.” Other than Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju, the cast also includes R Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Dravid Selvam.
Pradeep Ranganathan originally rejected the film
Pradeep, in a conversation with Anupama Chopra for Hollywood Reporter India, said that he had rejected the film originally. He said, “Keerthiswaran first reached out to me via a person who knew my co-director. When I read the synopsis that he sent through my email, I instantly said no. The main crux of the story was a shocker to me, and I was worried if this might reach the audiences in the right way or if I would be subjected to mockery. Despite rejecting it several times, he contacted me through various means and started irritating me. Later, he went to Mythri Movie Makers, and they accepted the script. When they inquired of him whom he wants as the hero. When he said my name, the production company reached out to me, and I didn’t want to say no to the producer, as his opportunities might get affected.”

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, with Anil Yerneni as the co-producer, the film is written and helmed by Keerthiswaran. Originally, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) was also set to release with Dude on Diwali, but now that its release date is postponed to December 18, Dude is Pradeep Ranganathan’s only film to be released on Diwali.
