Aamir Khan opens up about his feelings on actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan when he, Shah Rukh and Salman are called the top three Khans.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who is known for his exceptional work in films, recently responded when he was asked about his feelings to be one of the top three Khans in the industry along with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. In an interview with Raj Shamani, Aamir Khan shares his feelings about the same and said that other actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan have been doing extraordinary work for the industry over the years and have contributed for almost the same number of years, and therefore deserve equal credit.

Aamir further said that, though he has no problem with the tag of Khan, it upsets him when people only mention Shah Rukh and Salman’s names along with him, as he feels bad for other actors like Ajay, Hrithik, and Akshay, who have won people’s hearts for the same number of years. He said, “Mujhe jo cheeze taqleef deti hai ki log Shah Rukh, Salman aur mera naam lete hai. Hum teeno ka naam lete hai, acchi baat hai, galat baat nahi hai. Lekin mujhe bura lagta hai ki humare saath saath Ajay Devgn bhi itne hi saal chale hai, Akshay Kumar bhi itne hi saal chale hai, Hrithik bhi itne hi saal chale hai (What hurts me is that people take my, Shah Rukh, Salman’s names. They take our names, it’s good, it isn’t wrong. But what I feel bad that along with us, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan were also there.)”

Aamir further added, “Woh generation sirf Salman, Shah Rukh aur main nahi. Hum mein se kayi log hai jo 30-35 saal se kaam kar rahe hain, jo normal nahi hai. Sabne badi hits di aur sab bohut kamyaab hai. Toh main yeh correct karna chahta hu. (That generation isn’t just Salman, Shah Rukh, and me. Many of us worked for 30-35 years, which is not normal. Everyone has given hits, and all of them are successful. So I want to correct it.” Aamir was asked why their names are considered as the top three Khans, to which Aamir replied that it might be because of their films breaking box office records.

Aamir started his acting career with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988, and since then, the actor has not turned back. He has given several blockbuster films, including Dangal, which crossed Rs 300 earnings in India. Moreover, Aamir is now set to make his comeback on the big screens with Sitaare Zameen Par, which is a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par. The film will hit theatres on June 20, 2025.
