A Quick Look at MTV India

MTV India launched in 1996 and quickly became a pop culture icon, transitioning from playing back-to-back music videos to launching legendary youth reality shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla, and MTV Hustle. In 2016, MTV Indies (which focused on indie music) was replaced by MTV Beats, a 24/7 music channel. Since then, MTV India has shifted more towards reality programming, while MTV Beats took over the music space.
