Sathyaraj began his acting career in the year in 1978. Even though his mother was against his acting career and actor Sivakumar had criticised his acting chops, he did not give up. His first role was in Sattam En Kaiyil. He started with side characters. He became famous by performing the role of antagonists in films. His first film as a main lead was Saavi that released in 1985. Since then, he has only witnessed success. As he grew up the ladder of success, Sathyaraj did get offered roles in major films. He was also offered roles in Rajinikanth’s two major films – Sivaji and Ethiran. But he turned down these offers. There were speculations that Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj had a fallout. However, in one of the interviews, Katappa shared the reason. In an interview with Indiaglitz, Sathyaraj once revealed that he turned down the offers because he wasn’t satisfied with both the roles. He said, “I was approached to play Danny Denzongpa’s role (an evil scientist who corrupts Chitti Robo). I wasn’t satisfied with both roles. Well now Sathyaraj is all set to play a pivotal role in Salman Khan‘s upcoming film Sikandar. The official handle of Nadiadwala Grandson made the official announcement by sharing a picture of Sathyaraj Sir with the team. The actor recently also played a pivotal role in horror-comedy Munjya that crossed the mark of Rs 100 crore at the box office. Fans are quite excited to see Sathyaraj and Salman Khan together in Sikandar. Prateik Babbar is also a part of it.
