Apple TV wants more of Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
The tech giant’s streaming service has ordered a second season of the series. The pickup for Margo’s Got Money Troubles comes a week before its first-season finale and on the heels of critical acclaim for the series.
Elle Fanning plays the title character, a college student who becomes pregnant and turns to OnlyFans to help support herself and her baby. Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman play Margo’s parents, a former Hooters waitress and ex-professional wrestler. Thaddea Graham and Nicole Kidman also star in the series, which is based on a novel by Rufi Thorpe.
Eva Anderson, a writer and executive producer on the series, will join creator David E. Kelley as co-showrunner in season two.

Then, with David’s writing, along with our epic cast of heart-wrenching performances, it truly felt like we had something special. Having the opportunity to bring more of Margo’s troubles, creativity, fearless spirit and authenticity to audiences with a second season makes me incredibly happy and excited. I can promise everyone they’re in for a wild, messy and beautiful ride.”

The show’s cast also includes Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty and Lindsey Normington.

A24 produces Margo’s Got Money Troubles. Kelley and Anderson executive produce with Fanning, her Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions; and Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Boo Killebrew and pilot director Dearbhla Walsh. Kate Herron and Alice Seabright also directed episodes in season one.
