Mammootty’s film production company in Chennai raided by…; Dulquer Salmaan’s father yet to…

According to the most recent information on Operation Numkhor, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Mammooty’s property today, October 8.

Mammootty, the Malayalam superstar, has reportedly been embroiled in legal trouble. If reports are anything to go by, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid at a property connected to him on Greenways Road, Chennai on October 8. Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan and the team associated with Wayfare Films have not shared their reactions to the raid yet. The operation, which involved eight ED officers, also included CRPF personnel. They targeted the premises of Wayfare Films.

The raid comes day after…

This follows several days after the ED’s Kochi Zonal Office conducted searches throughout Tamil Nadu and Kerala as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal foreign currency transactions and the smuggling of luxury cars. In that, Dulquer was named.

Dulquer moves HC over seized luxury car

The actor said that the seizure was unwarranted and had damaged his image, so he petitioned the Kerala High Court to get his expensive car that had been taken during a recent customs search released. On September 23, Dulquer’s home was searched, and two of his expensive vehicles were taken.

What did Dulquer say to media on the issue?

Reacting to the media’s coverage of the issue, the actor said in his plea, “Publicity was given in media for vested reasons on the seizure, and the vehicle was carried as though included with certain other vehicles as being used for smuggling, carrying drugs, contraband and for anti-state activities. This has put the petitioner in a bad light, affecting his reputation.”

Dulquer, Prithviraj under customs scanner

Dulquer Salmaan founded Wayfare Films in 2019. The homes of wealthy people in Kerala, such as Dulquer and Prithviraj Sukumaran, were raided by the Customs Preventive wing. Numkhor, which translates to “vehicle” in Bhutanese, is the name of the enterprise. According to reports, customs has been investigating the purportedly unlawful importation of used automobiles from Bhutan.
