Magenta Plan Free Netflix, Hulu, Apple

T-Mobile is hoping to win over new customers this fall with some serious streaming perks for subscribers.

Select T-Mobile plans now include free access to Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV (formerly Apple TV+). Customers can also get four months of free access to music streamer Pandora Premium, plus six months of free SiriusXM access for ad-free music, podcasts and news programming through the satellite radio provider.

The streaming deals are all part of T-Mobile’s “Magenta Status” experience, which gives both prepaid and postpaid customers a chance to reap the benefits and rewards of being on a T-Mobile plan. Current phone plans start at just $50/month but the entertainment benefits kick in with the “Experience More” plan ($85/month) which gets you a Netflix subscription and Apple TV subscription for free. The best value is the “Experience Beyond” plan ($100/month), which includes Netflix, Apple TV and Hulu for free, plus unlimited mobile hotspotting.

Other current Magenta Status perks include a free DoorDash DashPass membership, plus weekly discounts on movie tickets and concerts, with up to 25% off seats to top shows and sporting events. T-Mobile has also partnered with Hilton to offer Magenta Status members 15% off hotel bookings, and AAA to offer a free one-year membership for roadside assistance.

While T-Mobile uses the phrase Magenta Status, the reality is that every T-Mobile customer automatically gets the discounts and deals. Whereas airline customers have to earn and re-earn status each year, T-Mobile says its “members get freebies and fun perks—just for being with us.”

T-Mobile’s entertainment offerings are one of the ways the company is hoping to stand out from other service providers – Verizon, for example, offers its customers access to a number of streamers, but mostly as bundle options rather than free subscriptions.

The company’s Magenta Status deals, meanwhile, come on top of its ongoing T-Mobile Tuesdays promotion, which continues to offer free treats (think free 7-11 slurpee), fuel rewards and dining discounts each week.

You can see a full list of Magenta Status offers and compare phone and internet plans online at T-Mobile.com.
