The series has been made with a huge budget of 60 billion Korean won, which makes it one of the most expensive projects ever. However, if the project does not go on with Disney+, it will be a huge loss for producers Arc Media and SLL.

However, GaroSero has been charged with using AI content in Soo Hyun’s case. The CEO of the YouTube channel has been accused of leaking fake AI-generated information and using it as evidence in the controversy. After the news, people’s opinion has shifted in favor of Soo Hyun.
Disney+ slate of 2025
Kim Soo Hyun’s Knock Off content has been removed from the Disney+ slate of 2025. Reportedly, the series might get shifted to the 2026 slot as the company is waiting for the right time to release the show. Moreover, posters of the drama have also been released on IMDb earlier this year after the controversy.
