Kareena Kapoor recently appeared on her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan on the podcast All About Her to share parenting tips and talk about her elder son, Taimur. The actress revealed that Taimur isn’t interested in acting or drama like many might expect. Instead, he’s a huge sports fan and loves spending time playing with his father, Saif Ali Khan. Kareena said, “Whenever Taimur has to pick an extracurricular activity at school and drama is an option, I ask if he wants to do it. He always says no. I encourage him to try acting, but I don’t push him. He knows what he enjoys. Right now, he wants to attend a cookery class because he likes watching his dad cook.”
When asked if Taimur’s disinterest in acting comes from being around actors, Kareena laughed it off. “He’s too young to think about that. He’s never really met other actors. He’s more curious about sports personalities. He keeps asking if I know Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, or Lionel Messi. But he doesn’t care about actors like Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh, he just loves sports.”
Taimur’s passion for cricket seems to run in the family. Last year, a video went viral showing Saif explaining the game’s history to his son. He told Taimur about his family’s cricket legacy: his great-grandfather played for Worcestershire, and his grandfather captained Sussex. Saif’s father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was a legendary cricketer who also played for Oxford University.

Kareena and Saif married in 2012 and are parents to two sons, Taimur and Jeh. Saif was previously married to Amrita Singh and has two other children, Sara and Ibrahim.
