Ranbir Kapoor’s 2023 film Animal has been one of the most talked-about movies of the year. The action thriller has sparked a wide range of opinions from both audiences and critics. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana Ranaut expressed her concerns about the film, questioning the kind of content it promotes. She pointed out that, despite the film causing a stir at the box office, it seemed to celebrate patriarchal themes. Kangana questioned why audiences applaud scenes depicting men wielding axes and engaging in senseless violence, devoid of consequences or regard for law and order. The actress mentioned that the film depicts men carrying machine guns, and this kind of portrayal is problematic. There are no consequences to their actions.
