Hacks star and Golden Globe winner Jean Smart has urged networks to forgo airing upcoming Hollywood awards shows and donate to the victims of the L.A. wildfires and firefighters.

“With ALL due respect, during Hollywood’s season of celebration, I hope any of the networks televising the upcoming awards will seriously consider NOT televising them and donating the revenue they would have garnered to victims of the fires and the firefighters,” the actress wrote on her Instagram account following a capitalized “ATTENTION.” Her note came in white letters on a black background.

She didn’t name specific award shows or dollar amounts. Among the big upcoming awards shows though are the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which are set to stream on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23 from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, and the Academy Awards, set to air on ABC from the Dolby Theatre on Sunday, March 2.

Due to the devastating wildfires in L.A., the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has decided to extend the Oscar nomination voting window, which began at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday morning and was to have ended at 5 p.m. PT on Sunday evening. Now it will run until 5 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The Oscar nominations unveiling has also been pushed back from Friday, Jan. 17 to Sunday, Jan. 19.

Smart just won her second Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for her work in the third season of the Max series Hacks. The hit show is among those whose production has been paused due to the blazes in different parts of L.A., along with the likes of NBC’s Suits: LA and ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy.
