GroupStitch has fallen for The Summer Will End.

The independent distribution and content consultancy firm founded by Nick Isaak confirmed that it has acquired global rights (outside Russia) as well as English language remake rights to the crime thriller starring Anora breakout and best supporting actor nominee Yura Borisov.

The Summer Will End, directed by Maksim Arbugaev and Vladimir Munkuev from a script by the latter, is set in a remote northern town and centers on two brothers who are on the run after one of them has stolen gold from a local mafia syndicate. As they struggle to outrun the consequences, the film takes a suspenseful turn setting off a violent chain of events. Borisov leads alongside Makar Khlebnikov as the two brothers while Dmitriy Podnozov, Aleksandr Mosin, Makar Khlebnikov, Vasiliy Shchipitsyn, Ivan Tarabukin, Batma Imanakunova and Denis Kuznetsovround out the cast.

The film was produced by Valery Fedorovich, Evgeny Nikishov, Alexandr Plotnikov, Boris Khlebnikov, Maksim Filatov and Igor Mishin. The Summer Will End hit theaters on Feb. 27 in Russia.

Isaak, who launched his own company following tenures at Gravitas Ventures, MGM Studios and Amazon executive, is said to be “actively seeking distribution partners for both domestic and international markets” while pursuing development partnerships on the remake.

Per the company’s website, GroupStitch’s credits also include Sales Are Dope: The Movie, Anthony Rodia: Totally Relatable and Giulio Gallarotti’s stand-up special On the Map.
