Goalhanger, Gary Lineker’s media and podcast production behemoth, is launching a flagship initiative in collaboration with the U.K.’s top content creators.
The Accelerator will support digital creators across entertainment, sport, politics, science, tech, and finance. “Designed as a high-impact, three-month creative business incubator, it provides investment, training and mentorship and access to Goalhanger’s senior editorial, creative and commercial leadership — alongside established on-air talent,” the company tells The Hollywood Reporter.
Participants will be chosen by a selection committee comprising senior Goalhanger leaders alongside experienced execs from across the global media and cultural industries. The external panel brings expertise spanning commissioning, talent development, platform strategy, and commercial growth, with backgrounds across Spotify, Sony Music, YouTube, Web Summit, WME and beyond. Members of this committee include Alex Bewley, Alex Adey, Alex Mahon, Damaris Rex Taylor, Julia Errens and Conor Galvin.
Each creator will receive up to £10,000 ($13,400) in content investment to elevate production standards and experiment with short-form storytelling across their social platforms.

With structure. With investment. With access,” the company continued. The initiative also allows Goalhanger to create a clear pathway into long-form IP development.
Former soccer star Lineker said: “Everyone’s producing more and publishing faster — content that’s brief, bright, and quickly forgotten. It’s harder than ever to cut through. At Goalhanger, we’re interested in the work people return to — proper conversations, proper perspectives, proper creators who build trust over time.”

Applicants should already be active on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and/or Facebook, with a strong and engaged audience. U.K.-based and eligible to work, they should be ready to “scale their creativity into something more ambitious.”
It’s been a record-breaking year for Goalhanger. In 2025 alone, the company generated more than 750 million full-episode views and streams across its 15-show network, including on major hits The Rest Is Politics, The Rest Is Football, The Rest Is History, and The Rest Is Entertainment. Its membership business has grown to more than 250,000 paying members.
