Fawad Khan says he’s still in touch with Karan Johar, reveals if he has watched Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal

Fawad Khan’s last Bollywood movie was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Directed by Karan Johar, along with the Pakistani actor, the romantic drama also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma. In 2016, Pakistani artists were banned from working in India after the Uri attack. Therefore, Fawad was never featured in an Indian film after 2016. Eight years have passed since Fawad Khan starred in a Bollywood film. But is he still in touch with his co-stars? Well, the answer is yes. The Zindagi Gulzar Hai actor stated in a recent interview that he is still in contact with Karan Johar, the director of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Ranbir Kapoor. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Fawad Khan revealed that he is in touch with the duo on and off. The Kapoor & Sons actor admitted that they occasionally talk on the phone or chat. Fawad continued, saying that he had a positive relationship with Ranbir Kapoor’s family and that their love and respect for one another still abound. The equation is the same with Karan Johar and Shakun Batra. Fawad further mentioned that he’s still friends with some movie producers, and they keep making plans to meet somewhere so that they can talk.

The Pakistani superstar was asked if he had watched Ranbir Kapoor‘s 2023 film Animal yet. Fawad Khan responded, saying he hasn’t seen the movie yet. However, he wants to watch it, and it’s on Netflix, but he hasn’t had time to check it out yet. Khan mentioned that everyone is recommending him watch the Ranbir starrer.

Recently, there were reports that, after eight years, the actor might make a comeback in the Hindi film industry in a movie alongside Vaani Kapoor. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the same. The actor is all geared up for his new web series, Barzakh, which is all set to release in India on July 19 on Zee5.
