It’s official, Euphoria season three concluded the series.

Following its season three finale Sunday, the show’s creator Sam Levinson announced the news on Popcast, The New York Times’ music podcast. The Hollywood Reporter has also confirmed the news.

The season three finale saw shocking deaths and an emotional tribute to Angus Cloud, who died in 2023  at age 25 of an acute intoxication following an accidental overdose. Read THR’s recap of the finale here.

The show ending doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, since Zendaya has said in interviews she thought this season was the last one. There was also a four-year gap between seasons two and three and rumors of conflict behind the scenes.

Asked about the years-long delay, Francesca Orsi, executive vp HBO programming, head of HBO drama series and films, told The Hollywood Reporter: “It was important that everyone felt season 3 was moving the story forward in a meaningful and ambitious way. When Sam began sharing how much more expansive the world of the show would feel this season, there was genuine excitement about returning.”

More to come.
