Ace comedian Sunil Pal is in the news. A lot has been said about him and the kidnapping case. A few weeks ago, Sunil Pal went to Haridwar for some event and he got kidnapped there. This incident happened on December 2. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakhs but released him after he paid them Rs 8 lakhs. After the comedian had gone missing, his wife had lodged a missing person report at the Santacruz police station. A CCTV footage also went viral where the kidnappers were seen buying costly jewellery at a store in Meerut. Mumbai police have seized the bank accounts of both jewellers and have arrested 5-6 individuals in connection with the kidnapping case.
Sunil Pal faked is own kidnapping?
Many have been accusing Sunil Pal of faking it and doing these things just for PR. However, the comedian has denied these rumours and said that it was not a PR stunt. However, there is now a new update in this matter. As per Meerut Police, Sunil Pal had planned his own kidnapping.
The police said that he was not kidnapped and they have got hold of an audio of Sunil Pal in which he is talking to the kidnapper and saying, ‘I did not complain, the media and cyber crime people have done all this.’ It is being said that UP police can soon reveal this in collaboration with Mumbai police.
Mumbai police had sealed the accounts of the kidnappers and they found the audio of Sunil Pal and some kidnappers. In the audio, Sunil Pal can be heard saying, “I have not filed any report, I cannot be found right now, I am not safe right now.”

Now, Sunil Pal has reacted to this clip in an interview with Aaj Tak. He said that he also heard the audio and shared that the accused had very cleverly asked him such questions that he would give those answers. Sunil Pal was being threatened with death and was being threatened about the safety of his family.
Hence, he decided to keep quiet about the kidnapping. However, Sunil Pal says that the audio is now being used against him and did not tell anyone about the call because he was scared. He added, “If a gun is kept on a person’s head, then he will be ready to do anything, I did the same.”
He further shared that he is being accused of doing all this for the promotion of his film but his film has released earlier itself. He feels all this is just to threaten him and he wants to tell them that he has not taken anyone’s name. He said, “I have decided to fight and have given the police an update of every message and call that I am getting from them. These are clever people, they are trying to escape by showing me wrong.”
