Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child in September this year. Earlier this year, the couple shared the happy news, and now that September is almost here, fans are eagerly waiting for the big announcement. Many are curious to know whether Deepika and Ranveer will have a baby girl or a boy. DP’s pregnancy appearance has won hearts over the past few months.
Recently, a well-known Mehendi artist, Veena Nagda, spoke about her meeting with Ranveer Singh and made a prediction about the baby’s gender. Veena mentioned that she met Ranveer at two different weddings—one of Ram Charan and the other of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. During one of these meetings, the Lootera actor joked about wanting a little Mehendi for himself. Veena then congratulated him, saying that she felt a baby boy might be on the way.
In the same interview with entertainment news portal Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush channel, the Mehendi artist shared a special memory of Deepika Padukone from the time when she first applied Mehendi to her during the shooting of the movie Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The actress was in awe of Veena’s design and had promised the artist back then that she would invite her for her own wedding. In 2018, when Deepika and Ranveer got married, the actress kept her promise and called Veena Nagda.
As we all know, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married in Italy’s Lake Como. It was a secret affair, with only selected guests invited for the same. The Piku star had booked Veena for five days to apply Mehendi but ended up working only for one day. She recalled how Ranveer was playful even during the wedding, showing his lively and entertaining personality.

On the work front, fans will soon get to see Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on screen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. In the movie, DP will play cop Shakti Shetty. Also starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, and Tiger Shroff, Ranveer will reprise his role of Simmba in the cop action thriller. The movie is slated to hit theatres on November 1, 2024.
