Chaka Khan is one of the honorees at this year’s Resonator Awards, with a pool of presenters including Olivia Rodrigo, Laufey, Anderson .Paak and Addison Rae.

Held on Jan. 27 just ahead of the 2026 Grammys, the Resonator Awards and Emily Lazar’s We Are Moving The Needle will honor musical artists, producers, engineers, songwriters and industry leaders whose craft shapes the sound and culture of our time.

Khan will be recognized at the event alongside St. Vincent, Haim and Amy Allen, among others. Rostam, Jason Isbell, Sia and Aaron Dessner additionally join the list of presenters.

The Resonator Awards are presented by We Are Moving The Needle, Lazar’s non-profit that is “dedicated to increasing the representation of women and non-binary individuals through scholarships, grants, mentorships, and community initiatives, as well as shifting industry culture through research and advocacy.”

Lazar is a nine-time Grammy-nominated mastering engineer, and her 2019 win for best engineered album, non-classical, marked the first time a female mastering engineer won the category. She has worked with countless artists, including Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton, David Bowie, Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney and more.

Previous Resonator Awards honorees include Alanis Morissette, Corinne Bailey Rae, Caroline Polachek, Catherine Marks, Laura Sisk.

The 2026 Grammys will take place on Feb. 1. Heading into music’s biggest night, Kendrick Lamar leads the nomination list with nine nods total, as Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter all trail behind him.

Of the Resonator Awards honorees, Allen is nominated for four Grammys, while Rae, a presenter for the night, received a best new artist nod.
