Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe’s latest addition, Thamma, is creating a huge sensation at the box office. The film is not only earning madly at the Indian box office but also making a huge collection worldwide. On the very first day, Thamma made a tremendous worldwide collection and even broke the record of the blockbuster film Saiyaara. At the same time, Ayushmann Khurrana’s starrer has also surpassed three other horror-comedy films. According to the production house of Thamma, the film collected Rs. 25.11 crore on the first day in India. Meanwhile, Sacnilk has also released the worldwide collection of the film. According to the report, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer took an opening of Rs. 30.75 crore at the worldwide box office.
Thamma surpassed the opening day collection of Saiyaara
Thamma has also surpassed the opening collection of Saiyara at the worldwide box office. The romantic film starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda is the second biggest film of 2025. Saiyaara had collected a total of Rs. 30 crore worldwide on its first day of release. Now, Thamma has surpassed this figure.
Thamma broke records of three films
Not only this, but Thamma has also defeated the worldwide opening collections of three big films of Maddock Films. Thamma has beaten the opening collections of Munjya, which earned Rs. 5 crore; Bhediya, which earned Rs. 12 crore; and Stree, which earned Rs. 10 crore. However, Thamma failed to surpass the worldwide opening collections of Maddock Films’ Chhava, which opened at Rs. 47 crore and Stree 2, which earned Rs. 80 crore on day 1.
Star cast and budget of Thamma
According to a report by Koimoi, the budget of Thamma is Rs. 140 crore. The film features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Paresh Rawal, and Sathyaraj are also seen in important roles. Apart from this, the film also has special cameos by Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Banerjee, and Nora Fatehi. Thamma has been directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, who earlier directed Munjya.
