The film, which was released during the holiday season of Diwali, October 21, has received praise for its distinctive fusion of humour and horror as well as the outstanding performances of its main cast. Sacnilk, a trade tracking website, reports that Thamma is doing well at the box office. The movie made Rs 13 crore on day six, the first Sunday following its release, increasing its total earnings to Rs 91.70 crore.
The movie, which is a part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, got a great start on Diwali and then slowed down a little over the week. However, it appears to be recovering well from the weekend. On Sunday, the movie’s overall occupancy rate in Hindi was 23.19 percent.
On its fifth day, the supernatural-themed movie made Rs 13.1 crore, a huge jump at the box office. Compared to the previous day, when the film had made Rs 10 crore, this was a 31% increase. Growing audience interest is shown by the spike in collections, which shows that the movie is gaining traction as it continues its theatrical run.

In this horror comedy, we see the romance between Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushman Khurana. Thamma centres on journalist Alok Goyal (played by Ayushmann Khurrana). After meeting a mysterious Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna) in a haunted woodland, he transforms into a vampire or betal. Their love story takes a violent turn when Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the vampire king, adds havoc.
