In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, a 27-year-old contestant named Nareshi Meena became the first person this season to reach the Rs 1 crore question. Sadly, Nareshi couldn’t answer the question, but she still took home Rs 50 lakh. While her performance on the show was quite commendable, the contestant caught everyone’s attention with her inspiring life story, which left a lasting impression.
Nareshi Meena, who is from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, has been battling a brain tumour for years now. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been able to afford the surgery needed to treat her condition. After passing the sub-inspector recruitment exam, Meena was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2018, which prevented her from taking the position. Since then, she has been saving little by little for the surgery.
Amitabh Bachchan made a big promise to the Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 contestant even before she won Rs 50 lakh. The Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna actor assured her that he would cover the cost of the proton therapy she needs to remove the tumour from her brain. In an interview with the Times of India, Meena shared that after her diagnosis, she took up a job as a supervisor in the women empowerment department. The contestant also told the entertainment news portal about how Amitabh Bachchan made her feel comfortable on the show. Big B told her that, no matter what happened, he would help her get the treatment she needed.
After the show, Amitabh Bachchan’s team reached out to Meena, asking her to choose the doctor and hospital for the surgery and promising to take care of all the expenses. Meena expressed her deep gratitude, saying she is truly thankful for his kindness.

Meanwhile, on the movie front, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Kalki in 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan. Big B portrayed Ashwatthama in the movie and was tremendously praised for his powerful performance.
