Ameesha Patel opens up on her conflicts with Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma, ‘He wouldn’t know how to… ‘

Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma, was released in 2023 and became one of the biggest hits of the year. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. It features Sunny as Tara Singh and Ameesha as Sakeena. In a previous interview, Ameesha Patel claimed that she and Sunny Deol almost ghost-directed Gadar 2. Patel revealed how they had several arguments with the director. In a recent interview, the Gadar star once again discussed the same issues. Ameesha now asserts that everything between her and Anil is now fine. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ameesha Patel revealed how there were 30–40 days during Gadar’s schedule where she didn’t talk to Anil Sharma. The same happened even during the sequel. Patel stated that the director didn’t know how to convey something to her; he would often do it through assistant directors. Ameesha said that they had their creative differences, and that track record has carried on. They fight, and they patch up. Furthermore, the Gadar 2 actress reveals that everything is fine between her and Anil now. Patel even stated that if the director offers her any film, and not just Gadar 3, she is open to working with him. When asked about the ‘ghost-directing’ remark, the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai actress said that she didn’t claim to have ghost-directed the entire movie. However, she has corrected crucial parts. Some portions were ghost-directed, which was important to making Gadar 2 a soulful experience for the audience.

Meanwhile, after Gadar 2, Ameesha Patel appeared in a romantic comedy film called Tauba Tera Jalwa. The film was released in January 2024. On the other hand, Sunny Deol has an amazing line-up of movies. The actor will next appear in Lahore 1947, starring alongside Preity Zinta, Jatt, Soorya, Safar Baap, and Border 2. Sunny is reportedly a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana movie and will portray Lord Hanuman. The mythological drama stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita.
