Her death has left the Telugu film industry with deep sorrow. Numerous Tollywood celebrities have sent their sympathies to the family. The 94-year-old passed away around 1:45 AM on Saturday as a result of age-related illnesses.
Final rites of Allu Kanakaratnam in Kokapet
The body of Allu Kanakaratnam will be kept at producer Allu Aravind’s home from 9 AM so that loved ones, friends, and well-wishers can pay their final respects. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Allu Kanakaratnam’s son-in-law, is directly in charge of looking after the arrangements. This afternoon, her last ceremonies are set to take place at Kokapet.

After his mother-in-law passed away, Chiranjeevi posted a touching message on X. He wrote, “Our mother-in-law.. The demise of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is extremely heartbreaking. The love, courage, and life values she showed to our families will forever be an inspiration to us. I pray to God that their sacred soul attains peace. Om Shanti.”
Allu Arjun heads to Hyderabad, Ram Charan cancels shoot
According to 123 Telugu, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan have both halted their work commitments in order to spend more time with their bereaved families. Allu Arjun, who was in Mumbai filming a movie with director Atlee, is immediately returning to Hyderabad. Similarly, Ram Charan has cancelled his ongoing shoot for Peddi in Mysore to support his family at this difficult time.
Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu, who are now in Vizag for a public meeting, will come to Hyderabad on Sunday to express their condolences.
