    The interview is from Verge magazine, wherein Aishwarya spoke her heart out about her marriage with Abhishek. In 2009, Aishwarya was honoured with the prestigious Padma Shri for her contributions to the entertainment industry.     Aishwarya Rai Bachchan expressed gratitude to her husband

    Aishwarya expressed deep gratitude towards her parents and also acknowledged the love of her in-laws. Aishwarya said that professionally, what was wonderful was being bestowed with the Padma Shri. She even said that people from the fraternity said that she was the youngest from the industry to have received it. She even said that she owes her win to her parents and devotes it to them.

    Aishwarya showered praises on her husband Abhishek Bachchan and highlighted his support. She said that she is blessed with the best husband in the world as it reflects on his strength that he can stand by his woman on a public platform at every given opportunity and applaud her.

    Aishwarya said that it was special when her in-laws said that they welcomed the fifth Padma Shri into the family. Amitabh Bachchan’s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan received the award in 1976. Later, Amitabh Bachchan received the award thrice and Jaya Bachchan received it in 1992.
