Aamir Khan’s film Sitaare Zameen Par and Dhanush’s Kuberaa hit theatres on the same day, that is, June 20. With an interesting storyline, one is about a crime drama, and the other is about a sports drama. Both of the films started strong on their opening day.
How much did Sitaare Zameen Par collect?
According to Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par collected Rs 23.5 crore on its third day, making a total of Rs 54.4 crore. On its opening day, the film collected Rs 10.7 crore, and on its second day, which is the first Saturday, it hauled Rs 20.2 crore, which is twice its opening day collection, making a total of Rs 54.4 crore on its first weekend.
Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama film directed by R. S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. It stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles. The film is a sequel to the 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. With positive reviews, the film has crossed over Rs 50 crore on its third day, with this pace, the film is expected to reach its Rs 100 crore mark any time soon.
Dhanush’s film sees a slight drop
Coming to Kuberaa, as per Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 13.46 crore on its third day. On its third day, it saw a slight drop. On its first day, it collected Rs 14.75 crore and on its second day, it collected Rs 16.5 crore, which brings the total to Rs 44.71 crore over its first weekend.
Kuberaa is a crime drama film directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. It stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh and Dalip Tahil. The film received positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The film is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark on its fourth day.
