One Battle After Another won best picture – musical or comedy at the 2026 Golden Globes, beating out Blue Moon, Bugonia, No Other Choice, Nouvelle Vague and Marty Supreme in the category.

“This is an incredible honor,” producer Sara Murphy said, beginning the acceptance speech on behalf of the film’s cast and crew. “I want to agree with Paul [Thomas Anderson] that this has been one of the most incredible filmmaking experiences, once in a lifetime, due largely in part to the person that we share this award with, the late Adam Somner, who we miss every day.” Somner, who was also a producer on the film, died from thyroid cancer on Nov. 27, 2024, at the age of 57.

“Thank you to the cast, what an embarrassment of riches and talent,” Murphy continued before thanking her family. “And finally, I want to say thank you to Paul Thomas Anderson. It is a privilege and a pleasure to work with you. I love you.”

Earlier in the night, Thomas won the award for best director and best screenplay, thanking castmember Shayna McHayle, also known by her stage name Junglepussy, for her contribution of the memorable line in the script, “This pussy don’t pop for you.”

Teyana Taylor also won the award for best supporting actress in a motion picture for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in the film. See the full list of 2026 Golden Globes winners here.

Golden Globes producer Dick Clark Productions is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
