Ishaan Khatter’s and Vishal Jethwa’s performances in Homebound are being widely appreciated by critics and audiences. Homebound is a drama film written and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, based on a New York Times article by Basharat Peer from 2020. It revolves around two childhood friends who attempt to pass the national police exam. Selected as India’s official entry for the 2026 Oscars, the film hit theatres on 26st September,2025, after premiering at the Cannes Film Festival. And, it is receiving a lot of love online.

Amidst the positive reviews, Ishaan posted on his Instagram handle to share some behind-the-scenes photos with Jethwa and wrote, “Dosti amar rahe. Shoaib aur Chandan.”

The film also features Janhvi Kapoor in a short role. It follows Shoaib (Ishaan Khattar) and Chandan (Vishal Jethwa) as they deal with ambition, social prejudices, and friendship. Both face personal and professional struggles that test their dreams and determination. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, it is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
