Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani made her debut this year with the movie Azaad. Prior to Rasha’s birth, Raveena had adopted two girls – Pooja and Chhaya. The actress was just 21 when she made such a big life-changing decision. In 2004, Raveena married Anil Thadani and the couple became parents to Rasha and Ranbir Thadani.
Raveena often referred to Pooja and Chhaya as the “older siblings” of Rasha and Ranbir. Now, the Azaad actress has opened up on what it was like growing up with four siblings. The actress described their time together as full of “madness.”
In an interview with Femina, Rasha Thadani said, “Complete and utter madness. Chhaya didi and Ranbir are perhaps a little calmer, but Pooja didi and I, we can fight and argue as a team against them.”
In another interview, Raveena Tandon addressed the speculation that Pooja and Chhaya were her biological daughters born out of wedlock. While talking about this, the actress told Zoom, “Whenever you do something, there will always be these trolls or someone will make some sexist remark, trying to create controversies out of nothing. I remember one article even saying that these must be her hidden children, whom she must have had out of wedlock. When I was 21, they were eight and 11. So, when did I have them? When I was 11 or 12?”
Meanwhile, Raveena and Rasha had recently visited the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj and participated in the Ganga aarti. For the unversed, Raveena’s daughter Rasha’s debut Azaad was produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor. It revolved around the bond between humans and animals, and laid strong focus on love, courage and loyalty. Set in pre-Independence India, the film was about a 19-year-old Govind and a horse. It focused on the themes of dacoit and zamindari system.
